In a significant move towards improving rural infrastructure and connectivity, Senator Lere Oyewumi, PhD, Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, has officially flagged off the rehabilitation of the critical Ikire/Odeyinka road. This long-awaited project marks a major boost for development in Osun West, bringing relief to communities that have endured years of neglect.

"This project is a testament to my commitment to improving the lives of the people of Osun West," said Senator Oyewumi, who was represented at the flag-off ceremony by Hon. Jide Jooda. The Ikire/Odeyinka road, which has been in a state of disrepair for over two decades, has posed a significant obstacle for residents of several communities. The dilapidated condition of the road has hindered access to essential services such as markets, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. This has had a detrimental impact on the economic and social well-being of the region.

Senator Oyewumi has pledged to continue working tirelessly to improve the lives of his constituents, ensuring that all communities in Osun West benefit from development projects. He encourages residents to continue working together to build a brighter future for the region.
