Senator Lere Oyewumi Drills 20,000 Litres of Solar-Powered Boreholes in Irewole and Egbedore Local Government Areas, Harps on Project Maintenance

The Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Kamorudeen Olalere Oyewumi, has commenced drilling 20,000 litres of solar-powered boreholes in Amukuku and Ara communities in Irewole and Egbedore Local Government Areas, respectively, as part of his constituency project. The projects will minimize the shortage of clean water in the communities. It's obvious that the major concern of the people is clean water; obtaining it is very necessary to keep them healthy and to avoid epidemics like cholera and other waterborne diseases.


Senator Oyewumi has urged the residents to make judicious use of the social amenities provided for them to ensure sustainability. He advised the benefiting communities to ensure constant maintenance to maximize their use.He said that more boreholes would soon be provided to widen the reach, adding that the efforts would complement the state government’s initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for rural and urban dwellers.


The community leaders, who spoke on behalf of one of the benefiting communities, commended the lawmaker for his foresight and selfless service. They opined that the rate at which Senator Oyewumi demonstrates his love and commitment toward the development and growth of his constituents and senatorial district is highly commendable.
