Senator Lere Oyewumi Flags Off Construction of 1.2km Obada New Road to Wakajaye Junction, Gbongan, Ayedaade Local Government, Osun State

The Deputy minority leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, PhD, was addressing the jubilant crowd of Gbongan people who came out in their numbers to herald the flag-off of the 1.2km Obada New Road to Wakajaye Junction in Gbongan, Ayedaade Local Government. It is expected to improve connectivity and ease transportation for residents.


Senator Oyewumi emphasized the commitment of the PDP-led administration to transforming governance in Osun State. He stated that the administration's priority is to bring about positive change and elevate Osun West senatorial district to a level comparable to its peers across the country. “I want to assure you, there are many more things to do in Osun West, and we will keep trying to ensure that we meet the yearnings of our people in the rural communities,” he stated.


The Osun West Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Adesoye, lauded Senator Oyewumi for his exemplary leadership and commitment to the community. Hon. Adesoye praised Senator Oyewumi's dedication to the people, highlighting his impactful contributions to the region, also a pillar of support for the people of the region. 


Speaking at the event, OSTM representative Evang. Matthew Abiodun Adepoju said Senator Oyewumi has proven himself to be a true pillar of all our communities. "His unwavering commitment to the welfare of our people is evident in his numerous projects and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of our constituents."


Hon. Folorunso Ogundare, House of Assembly, Ayedaade State Constituency, and Commissioner for Tourism and Culture Hon. Abiodun Fafa Ojo expressed their gratitude to Senator Oyewumi for prioritizing the road construction project. They highlighted the significant impact the new road will have on the lives of the residents in the community.


Hon. Felicia Adeniran, former Caretaker Chairperson of Ayedaade local government, Hon. Adeyemo Alaran (Local Government Civil Commission) all described the roads as significant and expressed the gratitude of Gbongan people to the Senator for his intervention, stressing that the Senator has voluntarily chosen to touch the lives of people in the Constituency.
