Senator Lere Oyewumi Installs Solar-Powered Street Lights in Ogbaagba Community, Ola Oluwa Local Government

The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Lere Oyewumi PhD has facilitated the installation of solar street lights in communities in Osun West Senatorial district as part of his campaign promises. The lawmaker commenced the installation of the street lights in Ogbaagba community of Ola Oluwa Local Government Area of the state.


The project would enhance security and tackle socio-economic challenges of the people considering the importance of light to human and societal development. The solar street lights would, to a great extent, curb many nefarious acts during dark hours, thereby contributing to the security measures in the society.


Senator Oyewumi, however, enjoined the benefiting community to safeguard the solar lights jealously in their interest and for the overall development of their respective areas. While assuring other communities of this similar gesture soon, the lawmaker said it is his intention to make Osun West senatorial district adequately illuminated. Senator Oyewumi guarantees the people of her constituency quality and purposeful representation that would improve their standard of living.


The excited community leaders, however, expressed profound gratitude for being beneficiaries of Senator Oyewumi's benevolence, noting that the solar street lights would, in no small measure, improve the socio-economic well-being and the security condition of the area. While asking for more government interventions in critical areas of their lives, the community leaders, on behalf of the residents, prayed to God to give divine elevation to the lawmaker who has remembered them at this critical time.
