The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial district and the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi Ph.D has received with shock the death of two prominent leaders in the senatorial district, the passing away of Oba Dr. Abideen Adedapo, Sapoyoro Olojudo of Ido Osun and Hon. Ademola Opadola who was the first executive chairman Isokan local government during his lifetime.
Akogun Lere Oyewumi noted that the Late Oba Adedapo has provided purposeful, courageous and tenacious leadership to the town and his subjects. He opined that the Monach during his lifetime contributed immensely to the preservation and promotion of Yoruba culture, his efforts toward the unity and progress of Ido Osun, Yoruba race as well as promotion of the traditional institution were unquantifiable.
Senator Lere Oyewumi, equally urged the entire family, friends and particularly the PDP members to be consoled by the fact that Baba Ademola Opadola lived a long and fulfilled life as an accomplished politician and notable community leader. He stressed that its pertinent to recalled the tenacity of purpose and unwavering loyalty of the deceased who remained committed to the course of his people and his party to the very last moment of his life.
“On behalf of the good people of Osun west senatorial district, I commiserate with Oba Dr. Abideen Adedapo and Hon. Opadola’s immediate family, friends, as well as their associates and followers. May God heal the wound and grant the departed souls eternal rest”, he prayed.
