Osun West Senator and the Senate Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Olalere Oyewumi PhD has said that no one changes a winning Team just as he urged the party leaders and stakeholders to re-elect the incumbent governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke as the party's candidate in 2026 to continue his good work in the state.

In a statement through his media office, Senator Olalere noted that with Gov. Adeleke as the candidate of the People's Democratic Party in 2026, the state's economic future is guaranteed, just as he cited his performance in infrastructure, prompt payment of salaries, offsetting of the outstanding half salaries owed by APC's administration, improved health care system, wealth creation as well as strategies already mapped out for continued economic and social growth in the state.

The statement stressed that it is indisputable that the internal revenues of the state have fared better, more than ever before, in the last year under Governor Adeleke making the state one of the few states that do not rely on the Federal allocation to pay salaries.

Speaking further, he said "Nobody changes a winning team just for the sake of change”, What the state needs at the moment is “an uninterrupted flow of good governance which can only be best handled by Gov. Ademola Adeleke-led PDP administration has been prudent in managing the state's resources with evident results in the last one year.
