The Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi PhD flanked by Yeye Akogun Omolara and several dignitaries today attended the 8th Day Fidau prayers for the late Atolugbu of Oke Oba, His Royal Highness, Oba Yunusa Olaoye Oyelayo. At the event, the Muslim Clerics and Christian Association of Nigeria prayed for the reposed soul of the late monarch, wishing the family fortitude to bear the loss.
Sen. Oyewumi who described death as inevitable, said the demise of the monarch, a political gladiator had further testified to the fact that death is unpredictable and that every mortal will die. He called on the people to emulate the virtues of the late king and tread the path that would impact positively on the lives of others.
Dignitaries at the funeral include; Member, House Of Representative, Ayiwola Federal Constituency, Commissioner For Energy, Hon. Festus Adeyemo, ALGON Chairman, Hon. Sharafadeen Spain, Irewole Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Jide Jooda, SSA Federal Affairs, Oluomo Abiodun Oladoyin, Are Jolaiya Moshood, Abiodun Ojo, Osun PDP State Working Committee, Peoples Democratic Members, traditional Chiefs, friends and political associates.
