Akogun Lere Oyewumi hosts NACOMYO Annual Ramadan Lectures

The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, double as Mayegun Adini Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade, Akogun Lere Oyewumi today hostsed the annual Ramadan Lecture of the National Council Of Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO) at his country home, Ikire. 


The Ramadan lecture is in line with Akogun Lere Oyewumi's goals to promote, foster, encourage, and sustain the religion of Islam. In his speech, Akogun Lere Oyewumi encourages Muslims to uphold the tenets of Islam, be closer to Almighty Allah, and recognize that everything we have in this life is a blessing from Him. 



He urged Muslims to do good to fellow human beings no matter their belief, religion, race, ethnicity, or ideology. He also charged the Muslims in attendance to Propage Islam as a religion of peace, adding that fasting is all about patience, virtue, and peace. 


"The Holy month of Ramadan is an opportunity for us to get rid of societal issues as it makes the minds, souls, and actions as limpid as water. It's a period for us Muslims to make Allah happy and get his blessings in multiples by practicing the true spirit of the great month"


Akogun Lere Oyewumi also urged the Muslim Ummah to pray relentlessly for the peace and prosperity of Osun State and the country at large. 


Dignitaries at the lecture include; Chief Imam Of Ikire land, Sheikh Muslim Oladimeji Oladiran, OSHA member, Abiola Inaolaji, Energy Commissioner, Hon. Festus Adeyemo, Alhaji Azeez Mao, Hon. Jide Jooda, Hon. Akinpelu, amongst others.
