The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi was accorded a rousing welcome at the Bayero University of Kano (BUK) by a large number of National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) who thronged the University’s main gate to receive him upon his arrival for the University 38th convocation ceremony where Deputy Senate President Sen. Jubril Barau was Honoured with Doctorate Degree In Law.
The students applauded Senator Oyewumi for his efforts in prioritizing education and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to pursue his academic aspirations.
Senator Oyewumi attended the gathering to honor Deputy Senate President Sen. Jubril Barau, who was conferred with a Doctorate Degree In Law, having made his marks in both public and private lives. Senator Oyewumi expressed happiness that Sen. Jubril Barao was honored as an icon of public-private partnership and charged him to continue to make positive impacts on the lives of people around.
The students expressed their solidarity and support for Osun State Governor, H.E Sen. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke. They encourage the Governor to continue working towards the betterment of the education sector in the state.
