The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi congratulates Oluomo Of Inisa Land, our leading figure in Osun Politics, a member PDP Board of Trustees BoT, Former Deputy National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Elder statesman, and one of the founding fathers of our great party, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun, as he marks his 89th birthday.
Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun is a courageous leader, quintessential administrator, exceptionally brilliant, and a very dutiful nationalist, who has been making sacrifices for the unity, stability, development, and progress of our dear State, and nation. Our party is particularly proud of the contributions of Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun towards the return of democracy in our country, when he and other patriots joined forces to envision and birth our great party, the PDP, for the good of all Nigerians.
Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun has continued to put the collective interest of our state, and nation above every personal, sectional, or parochial interest and shows that the essence of statesmanship lies in serving others than the self.
Senator Oyewumi congratulates this democratic icon as he turns the milestone age of 89 years and prays to God to grant him many more years in good health so that our State, nation, and party, the PDP, will continue to draw from his wealth of experience, goodwill, and wise counsel.
