The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Kamorudeen Olalere Oyewumi today joined other dignitaries to attend the fidau prayer for the late Ejigbo Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Isah Sofoluwe. The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Ejigbo, who extolled the virtues of the deceased. In a brief sermon, the Grand Mufasir of Ejigbo reminded all of God’s commandment that they should take good care of their parents, dead or alive.
In his goodwill message, Akogun Lere Oyewumi called on the people to use the Fidau prayer as an avenue to readjust their ways and live up to the expectations of the masses. While assuring the family of the deceased his continuous support, he noted that death is inevitable, and urged those at the event to reflect on their lifestyles and not abandon the family of the deceased.
Other dignitaries that graced the event included Osun PDP State Working Committee led by the Secretary, Hon. Bola Ajao, Commissioner For Land and Physical Planning, Hon. George Alabi, All Local Government Chairmen led by Hon. Sarafadeen Awotunde, Aare Moshood Jolaiya, Hon. Badiru Moruf, Hon. Asagade, Hon. Adeoriokin, Hon. Asler amongst others.
