The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun Lere Oyewumi has described the life of the first civilian Governor of Osun State, Senator, and political legend as exemplary, judging by the impact his legacies keep making, even after his passing away. As today marks his 69th posthumous birthday anniversary, Late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke remains a political jewel of inestimable value and a golden fish with no hiding place.
Senator Lere Oyewumi described Serubawon as a political and community leader who will forever be remembered for his indelible imprints on the development of Osun West, Osun State and Nigeria. He extolled late Isiaka Adeleke as a man of peace and an apostle of politics without bitterness. A lover of the grassroots people, a stylish, consummate, and accomplished statesman of no mean order, Adeleke taught his followers that they should abhor malice, grudge, and hatred in their minds toward fellow men.
"Senator Isiaka Adeleke breathed his last when it was least expected. We, however, thank God for the life you lived. We celebrate your gift in Osun West, Osun State, Nigeria, and the world. You came, lived, and left your imprints on this divide. You were a legend. You died a hero. Your memory lingers and your works speak for you. We will continue to celebrate you and your good deeds.
