Senator Lere Oyewumi Ph.D. Donates 500KVA Transformer To Islamiyyah Community

In his effort to better the lives of his constituents through the provision of basic infrastructure and social amenities, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi has donated a 500KVA power transformer to Islamiyyah Community Ikire. He assured that the need to address the issue of erratic power supply and other inefficiencies in the provision of light as it affects the senatorial district necessitated his decision to procure the transformer.


It's noted that Islamiyyah residents were faced with the acute electricity supply due to the absence of a functional transformer to serve them while charging them to safeguard and make good and optimal use of the facility. The electricity supply will improve security in the community promote small-scale businesses in the community and help to boost their livelihood through enhanced economic activities. He however assured that his representation will diligently provide optimal solutions for Ikire and its environs erratic power supply.


The residents of Islamiyyah Community thanked Senator Lere Oyewumi for the timely gesture explaining that they had stayed in darkness for months following the failure of the old transformer. They opined that the rates at which Senator Oyewumi takes the love and his commitment towards the development and growth of his constituents and senatorial district is highly commendable and unprecedented.
