Kopek Construction Returns To Site, Begins Rehabilitation Of Ibadan-Ife Expressway

The rehabilitation of the popular Ibadan-Ife expressway has begun, with the return of Kopek Construction to the site. Knowing leadership entails the act of taking responsibility for people who invested their trust in someone, for the sailing of affairs of a particular Constituency or State. Senator Olalere Oyewumi has proven beyond reasonable doubt his capabilities as a servant to the masses.


It's to be recalled that on July 25, 2023, the Deputy Minority Leader of the 10th Senate, Akogun Lere Oyewumi enjoined the Senate for the quick intervention of the Federal Government on a seriously damaged portion along Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa Expressway after the flood further ravaged the express road. Described the expressway as one of the busiest roads in the country in terms of traffic volume, and a major liking road in the southwest, noting that the said the road, like every other road in the country, was of economic importance to the government.


Sen. Oyewumi in his prayers called on the Senate to urge the Federal Ministry of Works to immediately release funds and direct the contractor back to the site to reduce the inconveniences being experienced by motorists and travelers. The rehabilitation repair began as Kopek Construction company started mobilizing to the site, starting with the critical portions in Ikire.


The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi however urged the contractor to fast-track the rehabilitation to ease the users' inconveniences. He then appealed to the residents, commuters, and travelers to cooperate with the contractor, noting that the road rehabilitation might come with some pains but assuring that the citizens would reap the full benefits of it in a matter of months.
