The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, has received with shock the death of the newly appointed Chairman of the Caretaker Committee Ede North Alhaji Jimoh Oyekanmi.
Akogun Lere Oyewumi commiserated with members of the family of the deceased, the good people of the Ede North local government, Osun West Senatorial District, the government, and the people of Osun State on the sad loss.
Akogun Oyewumi mourns the demise of the great peacemaker, a very experienced, fearless party man, true democrat, patriot, and selfless politician. “Alhaji Jimoh Oyekanmi was a grassroots politician very much loved by his people.
My prayers and thoughts are with the family and the good people of Osun State. His death is numb and saddening, but we must submit to the will of God who gives life and takes it when he wills. Allah to comfort his family, forgive his sins, and admit his soul to Aljannah Firdaus.,” Akogun Lere concluded.
