The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, has expressed grief over the demise of the party chieftain and Iwo PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Semiu Ayeloja. He described his death as a great loss to the party, Iwo Local Government, and the state. Akogun Lere noted that Hon. Semiu Ayeloja was a political giant whose politics was devoid of bitterness.
"Mr. Semiu Ayeloja was a very courageous leader, dedicated and fearless party man, true democrat, patriot, and grassroots mobilizer who dedicated his resources, intellect, and energy toward the well-being of the people in line with the ideals of the PDP. He was a consistent and faithful party member who devoted so much to the evolution, development, sustenance, and relevance of the party in Iwo Local Government and the State," Oyewumi said.
Senator Lere Oyewumi described the late Semiu Ayeloja as a politician with strong perseverance and vision, as well as a fighting spirit, and said the PDP family would greatly miss him. He prayed that the Almighty God repose the soul of the beloved and comfort his nuclear and extended families, friends, and political allies. {Amen}
