Senator Lere Oyewumi Co-Sponsor Maiden Edition Of The Faculty Of Education Dean's Prize And Awards

The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Lere Oyewumi has collaborated with other educationists, and philanthropists to support and encourage the exceptional students of the Faculty Of Education, University Of Ibadan as the Faculty held the maiden edition of the Dean's Prize and award ceremony under the leadership of the University Vice Chancellor, Prof. K. O. Odebowale and the Dean, Faculty Of Education, Prof. O.A Adegbesan.


The atmosphere was charged with excitement and enthusiasm as each student was called to the stage to receive their well-deserved awards and gifts. Proud parents and guardians watched with delight as their children’s achievements were recognized, cherishing the remarkable moments of triumph.


The Dean of, the Faculty Of Education, Professor O. A. Adegbesan noted that the awards were established to honor outstanding individuals in recognition of student achievement and brilliant academic performance in the Faculty. He stressed winning an award is a significant achievement that provides recognition, exposure, and validation to recipients. He equally appreciated the magnanimity of the donors for rewarding the achievements of their students and their contribution to the education development of the country.


Senator Lere Oyewumi who was represented by Hon. Wale Olunloye commended recipients of the various awards and enjoined the students to remain steadfast in their studies, adding that focus and diligence were necessary ingredients for a successful life. Other donors and sponsorer include; Professor Clement O.O. Kolawole, Professor Iyabo Mabawonku, Professor Alice M. Olagunju, Attorney Akitunde Festus Adeyemo, Joel Babatunde Babalola, amongst others.
