The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi has congratulated the Muslim community on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), urging the Muslim faithful to emulate the great examples and legacies of Allah’s Messenger. Senator Oyewumi called on faithful Muslims to rededicate themselves to the commandments of Allah, including shunning all kinds of mischief that might disrupt public peace and human brotherhood.
In his goodwill message to Muslims, Senator Oyewumi noted that the prophet became famous for his life of humility, justice, and fairness. The Prophet attracted people to Islam through personal examples of honesty, trustworthiness, justice, patience, and tolerance. He stressed that the Prophet demonstrated a remarkable life of patience under provocation and honored treaties with non-Muslims for peaceful coexistence.
Senator Oyewumi implores the citizens to pray for the continued well-being of Osun West Senatorial District, Osun State, and the country at large. He admonished Muslims in the state to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, humility, modesty, and generosity as exemplified by the life of Prophet Muhammad. May the celebration of the holy Prophet bless our hearts and homes with happiness, love, and harmony.
