For the past five years, Osun West Senatorial District has been known for having a poor representative in the hallowed chamber, which affects the dividend of democracy received by its constituents. Going into the 2023 general election, constituents prayed, canvassed, supported, and cast their votes for a man loved by all, one who has the masses' interests at heart, someone who understands how to give back to the people—an exemplar of what governance should be: Senator (Akogun) Kamorudeen Olalere Oyewumi, Ph.D.
Immediately upon winning the election, he began to transform the narrative of Osun West Senatorial District's representation, which is why his constituents have been calling him the right man for the job. Within his first 100 days in office, he has made himself accessible and initiated positive changes in all aspects. His passion for tertiary education led him to conduct oversight visits to the Federal College of Education in Iwo and the Federal Polytechnic Ede, where he pledged to use his office to effect positive change in these institutions.
Additionally, he visited Osun State University, College of Art and Humanity campus in Ikire, where he discussed his plans for the campus. Everything he promised to work on during his election campaign, including the educational sector and other areas, is what he has been diligently addressing, even within his first 100 days in office.
