The Osun State House of Assembly Members paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi at his country home Ikire. 


During the visit, the entourage expressed their confidence in Senator Oyewumi's ability to tackle the challenges of his new role. They highlighted his transformational leadership style, wealth of experience, trustworthiness, and unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the general public at all times.


The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Dr Lere Oyewumi, expressed his gratitude to the entourage for their visit, referring to them as brothers celebrating the success of a brother. Senator Oyewumi humbly acknowledged that his appointment belonged not only to himself but to the entire people of Osun State and the nation as a whole. 


Senator Oyewumi advises the lawmakers to work together because the success of the state depends on their collaboration with NASS members and the state Governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke. He also advised the lawmakers to be teachable, learn new things, and try those new things as this would give them an advantage in the discharge of their responsibilities as Lawmakers.  


The visit symbolizes the unity and support within the Osun state as they rally behind Senator Lere Oyewumi in his new role. It reinforces their shared commitment to ensuring the safety and prosperity of the people of Osun State and the nation in general.
