It was a rousing welcome and reception today as Osun West Senatorial Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Akogun Lere Oyewumi campaign train hit Orile Owu ward 9, 10, 11 in Ayedaade local government and Ayepe in Isokan local government. Akogun Lere Oyewumi, accompanied by Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade House of Representative Candidate, Hon. Lanre Oladebo, Ayedaade PDP House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Ogundare Folorunsho and House of Assembly Candidate for Irewole/Isokan Hon. Biola Inaolaji and other PDP Chieftains toured the wards to seek for the residents support and votes ahead the general election.
Akogun Lere Oyewumi earlier visited the palace of Olu of Araromi-Owu, Oba Dauda Akinfala, for consultation and royal blessing. The royal father HRM OBA Dauda Akinfala who was overwhelmed by the visit showered prayers and blessings on Akogun Lere Oyewumi and other PDP Candidates and wishes them well in their aspirations.
Akogun Lere Oyewumi acknowledged the support of the people that saw a resounding victory for PDP and Sen. Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke in the gubernatorial election and charged them to extend the same come February 2023 to continue reaping the dividends of democracy. While receiving hundreds of All Progressive Congress members into the Peoples Democratic Party, Akogun commended their efforts and resolution to join the party and promised that their interests would be duely protected.
Akogun Lere Oyewumi and other Pdp Candidates called on the residents in the various wards visited to vote massively for Peoples Democratic Party Candidates in the General elections as the panacea to the problems of bad leadership in Nigeria. They implored them to propagate the message of hope, good governance and rapid socio-economic growth to the people. They also promised that, if elected, they would implement masses oriented project, improved social amenities and make life more abundant, meaningful and worthwhile for the rural and urban dwellers.
